The PowerHub is a complete energy storage solution for up to 50kW power conversion and 120kWh energy storage capacity with LFP batteries and 40kW and 120kW with NMC batteries. The exact power and energy capacities will depend on the battery make and model. As a modular system, both power conversion and energy storage capacities are scalable to meet any requirement. The systems can be connected in parallel to achieve additional total power and energy storage capacity.
The system includes the Gateway providing advanced monitoring and control applications as well as interoperability to the outside world. The system supports the grid autonomously or, through the Pixii Gateway, receive commands and settings from high-er level energy management systems for an optimized use of distributed flexibility resources.
With the combination of flexibility and convenient configuration, PowerHub can be configured to provide the specific energy storage services with the right capacities required at each site. More function specifications are as following
The PowerHub, is an IP55 complete modular energy storage system. It is fully integrated with and ready to be connected to the grid for applications
as solar self consumption, demand charge reduction, peak shaving, arbitrage and various ancillary services.
With the modularity, the PowerHub proof as coming changes in demand can easily be matched by changing the number of converter modules.
Service and maintenance requires a minimum of training or certifications. Modules can be replaced while the system is operational and there are no dangerous DC voltages in the system.
The PowerHub can provide a variety of energy saving or grid supporting services. These functions can be executed autonomously or controlled by commands and settings from higher level energy management systems communicating over different protocols. The power conversion in the PowerHub is achieved using the PowerBox, a bidirectional 3,3 kW AC/DC converter module. There is room for up to 15 PowerBoxes in each cabinet.
The system includes the Gateway controller providing advanced monitoring and control applications as well as communication and interoperability via the internet, wifi or the wireless network .For applications requiring more power or energy, additional cabinets can be installed. The PowerHub can be used in applications from 10 kW up to 1MW.
